Games Administrator – May-August, 25hrs per week

Auckland Netball, situated in St Johns only 10 minutes from the city Centre, is a significant contributor to netball in New Zealand. The largest centre in New Zealand is home to over 900 affiliated teams and 30,000 members and participants.

Auckland Netball is known for providing netball participation, development pathways to high performance promoting healthy active lifestyles and being a quality sporting, recreational and business hub for the wider community.

We are currently looking for a person to fulfill the role of Game Administration for 25 hours per week, May-August to provide administrative support to the Games Department during the busy winter competition season for club, secondary school, year 6-8 and junior netball competitions.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a professional team in a dynamic and growing organisation providing all game, competition league and tournament management for Auckland Netball. This role requires an enthusiastic, positive and proactive team player, with outstanding quality focussed service delivery. Excellent communication and computer skills with a high level of attention to detail are definite attributes that are required to fulfil this key role.

You will thrive on proactively developing relationships with our stakeholders and you will enjoy working alongside a team of competition conveners and volunteers and committees.

Along with the above you will relish working in a busy team environment. Working hours are Monday- Friday 9:30am – 2:30pm.

Auckland Netball Centre Inc – Board Minutes Secretary

Auckland Netball Centre is the oldest and largest netball centre in NZ with over 30,000 members enjoying the ultimate experience either at our St Johns or Windmill Road facilities. More than just netball, Auckland Netball Centre provides multipurpose sporting and recreational facilities for the wider community and over 422,000 people pass through the gates annually.

Auckland Netball Centre is served by a Board of seven elected and appointed Board members, who meet eleven times a year, usually on a Monday evening for two to three hours.

The Board is looking for a Board Minute Secretary to attend board meetings and prepare the minutes of those meetings.

The role is paid and is a great opportunity for anyone completing Governance NZ studies, seeking to support robust governance in a sporting or not for profit setting.

Become a Volunteer

Auckland Netball are looking for volunteers to assist us at our busy netball centre. Even if it’s for an hour every couple of weeks, any volunteer help would be appreciated. Below are some examples of where you could assist us:

  • Folding bibs / leaflets
  • Writing up scorecards
  • Prizegivings – sorting team prizes
  • Helping at our netball tournaments
  • Handing out sponsors offers / flyers
  • Selling netballs / merchandise
  • Uniform collection, washing and drying
  • Writing up match reports
