SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMPETITION The Lucca Trailers Secondary School netball competition at Auckland Netball draws school teams from the greater Auckland region with Premier grades right through to Year 9 and social grades. It is the largest school netball competition in New Zealand and teams benefit from a strong and diverse league across all grades.
Secondary Schools game days are Saturday mornings between 8:00am and 1:25pm. Games are 40 minutes in duration (4 x 10 minute quarters).
Grades include Premier grades 1 & 2, Senior A – G, Year 10 A – G, and Year 9 A – H.
Premier grades play on the indoor courts at 8:30am | 9:30am | 10:30am | 11:30am Premier 1 & 2 are grades of 12 teams each.
All other grades play outdoors at 8am | 8:55am | 9:50am | 10:45am | 11:40am | 12:35pm Games are centrally timed with no injury time. Grades consist of 10-12 teams divided into 2 sections of 5-6 teams.
Umpires are provided for Premier 1 & 2 grades competition games only (not grading games) and the cost is built into the 2023 fees.
For all other grades, teams are responsible for umpiring their own games. As umpiring is the team’s responsibility, a team not supplying an umpire for their game will play short to enable one member of the team to umpire.
