6v6 Umpiring Information
This module is the minimum level recommended for umpiring Year 5-6.
Junior umpires in Year 7&8 are encouraged to attend, as well as Year 9+ umpires who are umpiring Year 5-6 matches.
Our 6v6 Umpiring courses are fun, and engaging, and cover the fundamentals of umpiring, including theory and practical.
The theory session covers the rules and explains the role of an umpire on game day.
The Practical session is to reinforce the learning of the rules in real time to consolidate understanding.

Cost: $35.00 per person (includes a whistle)

7v7 Umpiring Information
Junior umpires in Year 9 or above are encouraged to attend our 7v7 course. Our 7v7 courses are suitable for those who are new to umpiring or would like to refresh or have a better understanding of the principles of umpiring.
You will learn how to identify and use umpire communication tools more effectively, identify areas of control, and manage protocols and match responsibilities.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
Understand basic umpire positioning and vision
Demonstrate a basic application of the rules of the game
Demonstrate the actions that an umpire takes when a player infringes
Demonstrate umpire skills and how to reflect on performance to develop as an umpire
Cost: $35.00 per person (includes a whistle)

Techniques 1 Information
Our Techniques 1 module is the next step after attending one of the Introduction to Umpiring Workshops
Our Techniques 1 workshop is suitable for those who are new to umpiring or who have received their Centre Award or above and would like to refresh or have a better understanding of the techniques of umpiring.
The purpose of this module is to provide a clear understanding of umpiring techniques and how to incorporate them into their umpiring.
At the completion of this workshop, the umpires will be able to:
Understand Position, Vision and Timing and the impact these have on their umpiring.
Begin to demonstrate appropriate techniques, which includes understanding Player positions and adjusting to game flow.
Please wear comfortable clothes and suitable footwear for practical session and don’t forget your whistle.
