ABOUT US

Originally founded in 1911, Auckland Netball Centre is the oldest and largest centre in New Zealand and is a significant contributor to netball.

Auckland Netball was based at Windmill Road, Mt Eden for 75 years before moving to its new home in Allison Ferguson Drive, St John’s in January 2006. Windmill Road, Mt Eden remains a second venue for Auckland Netball and with a fabulous recent upgrade, it has provided a huge opportunity for further growth of our competitions, holiday programmes and events capabilities.

Auckland Netball Centre Inc. provides netball competitions, leagues, development programmes, players, coaches, managers and official pathways and is home to over 27,780 members and participants. “More than just netball” we also provide multipurpose sporting and recreation facilities for the wider community and together over 435,473 people pass through the gates annually.

At St Johns we have a large indoor arena with 3 full size netball courts and 3 indoor netball courts (with retractable nets). Outside there are 30 full lit courts and over 800 carparks. We run holiday programmes during each school holidays, host a range of events from birthday parties to boxing matches and markets and our carpark is home to the Auckland Markets every Sunday all year round.

Our Windmill Park venue has been recently upgraded to include 15 fully lit and rubberised courts, as well as a small indoor venue which can be utilised for meetings, events and birthday parties. We have several competitions running here including Summer League,
School-age winter netball, skills clinics as well as holiday programmes in between each term.
